We were asked by one of our military customers to produce a new customised version of our popular 10.4” Poseidon rugged touch screen monitor configured to operate when installed in a military vehicle used for detection of buried Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s) anti-Tank Mines (AT) and other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
This customised version is designed to operate in a typical 28V DC military vehicle system and is specifically designed to meet the requirements of Mil Std 1275 E (Characteristics of 28 Volt DC input Power to utilisation equipment in military vehicles). In addition to this it retains all the standard Bluestone features of high shock and vibration protection and IP67 sealing and a dimmable high brightness display of 1000 Cd/ m sq. brightness. A novel feature is the ability to remotely control the display via RS232 control allowing full control of brightness, contrast and other user functions via the host system.
The housing is configured with a strengthened 75mm VESA mounting to allow it to be mounted within the vehicle securely and to remain safe under all foreseeable operating conditions including extreme shock.
The monitor is supplied with a Peli Case with custom foam insert to give high levels of protection during transit and storage.
This system was designed, manufactured and successfully delivered to our customers exacting requirements within a very short timescale.
